1Oklahoma Ranks High in Small Biz Wireless Use

March 25, 2010 -- A new AT&T Small Business Technology Poll ranks Oklahoma #2 in use of wireless by small businesses.  Atlanta was #1 among the 10 metro areas included in the survey.

The Tulsa World reports that Oklahoma also topped the other areas in the use of wi-fi hotspots, laptops and notebooks.

2TCC Set to "Launch" Entrepreneurs

March 10, 2010 - On May 3, Tulsa Community College will kick off Launch - Your Entrepreneurial Journey, a program designed to accelerate the start-up process by walking people interested in the entrepreneurial journey through the steps required to build a company. 

In 16 weekly experiential business-building sessions, aspiring entrepreneurs will move through the development of a start-up to the core business model to the bootstrapping process.  Each session will be led by entrepreneurial thought leaders who will share their unique and often challenging experiences on the start-up process.  At the end of the 16-week program entrepreneurs will have an operating business and/or prototype ready to go to market.

3Tulsa Chamber Launches Program to Assist Small Businesses

The Tulsa Metro Chamber has launched SourceLink Tulsa, a new program created to spur the growth of small businesses and start-ups in the area. SourceLink is a referral network that links small and emerging business owners to area resource partners who provide a range of services to help businesses grow and prosper. The program is based on a model created by the Kauffman Foundation, and is offered at no cost to entrepreneurs and participating resource partners.
